Combine is a module for WISEflow, which must be activated on the license before it is accessible for managers. Combine makes it possible to combine a series of subexaminations so they must be executed in a sequence. You can also set an access requirement (i.e. the grade given in the previous flow) to participate in the next flow.
An example of the use of Combine is an examination where participants must participate in and pass to be able to participate in the following FLOWlock exam. By using Combine, it is possible to combine these two flows in a sequence, which makes sure that the participate passes the first flow before being able to access the next flow (since participants, who meet the access requirements, are automatically transferred from the first flow to the next). The participant will only see the first flow (if there is an access requirement) and will be transferred (and can view) the next flow when the period of assessment is over. The assessors must be transferred manually and will see all flows, which they are attached to.
The function can be used on both provisional and formal flows, but the access requirement function only works on formal flows.
How do I use Combine?
Create the main flows as usual (can also be done with a SIS-code). If you would like to use the access requirement function, you also need to use final assessments in this flow. Click on the pane labeled Combine.
Click on Add and fill the box with the information on the next flow in the series. Click on Add to series.
Transfer date (evaluation deadline) is the date, where all participants on the first flow (who meet the access requirement) will be transferred to the second flow. Assessors must be transferred manually. Set an access requirement by clicking on the drop down menuen between the two flows in the overview. You can now add more flows in the series or activate the flow as usual. Delete a flow in the series by hovering over a flow and clicking on Remove.
