Settings for the manager to consider when showing feedback to participants
When the manager considers showing feedback to the participants, there is a few different settings for doing so. The images show how it looks for the participant.
1. The participant is allowed to see the uploaded assignment. Find the setting Allow the participant to access the paper after hand in in manage all settings/flow settings.
2. The participant is allowed to see the auto-validated questions if the activity is configured with automatic validation of the participant's answer. Find the setting Allow the participant to access automatic validation after hand in in manage all settings/flow settings.
3. The participant is allowed to see the feedback, including points, from the auto-validated sections/assignment, assessor scores, and comments (if shared). Find the setting Allow the participant to access achieved points after the assessment period in manage all settings/flow settings (showing points is introduced with release 2.12.1).
The following examples are created as FLOWmulti.
1. Flow with both auto-validated questions and essays
This example is often used in examination.
In this example a FLOWmulti is set up with point-based assessment, assessors assigned, and an assessor group. Watch the quick video about point-based assessment to get started with point-based assessment.
Because this example includes both auto-validated questions and essays which needs to be assessed by an assessor, the feedback to the participant will contain a mix between auto-validated points and points given manually by the assessor.
A few things to remember:
- Allow the participant to access achieved points after the assessment period.
- Decide if the participants should have access to the assignment and the auto-validation (settings in manage all settings/flow settings)
- Set the final assessments as the administrator (in the matrix in point-based assessment).
- Participants must click on feedback to see the points (after the assessment period has ended)
2. Flow with auto-validated questions with only a manager
This example is created with point-based assessment and is often used in examination. In this example, no assessors are assigned and only the administrator must set the final assessment to release the points/feedback to the participants.
A few things to remember:
- Click the box that says Allow the participant to access achieved points after the assessment period in manage all settings/flow settings.
- Decide if the participants should have access to the assignment and the auto-validation (settings in manage all settings/flow settings)
- The manager can validate the distribution key
- Set the final assessment
- Participants must click on feedback to see the points (after end date assessment)
3. Flow with only auto-validated questions without assessors assigned
This example is often used during class.
In this example, the FLOWmulti is based on only auto-validated questions without any assessors assigned. As a manager, you configure the FLOWmulti and after end of the assessment period the points will be release to the participant without further actions performed by you as the manager.
A few things to remember:
- Set the end of the assessment period right after the end of the participation period.
- Click the box that says Allow the participant to access achieved points after the assessment period in manage all settings/flow settings.
- Decide if the participants should have access to the assignment and the auto-validation (settings in manage all settings/flow settings)
- Uncheck the box that says Submit final assessment.
- Participants must click on feedback to see the points (after end date assessment)
