Administrators in D2L Brightspace can register a new tool by clicking settings and then 'Manage Extensibility'
On the new page, go to 'LTI Advantage' then 'Register Tool'
On the tool configuration page, choose 'Standard', and then fill out the required information and copy the URLs from the LTI configuration in WISEflow.
- Insert 'Tool URL' from WISEflow into 'Domain' in D2L Brightspace
- Insert 'Redirection URL' from WISEflow into 'Redirect URLs' in D2L Brightspace
- Insert 'Login initiation URL' from WISEflow into 'OpenID Connect Login URL' in D2L Brightspace
- Insert 'Deep link URL' from WISEflow into 'Target Link URI' in D2l Brightspace
- Insert 'Tool public keyset URL' from WISEflow into 'Keyset URL' in D2L Brightspace
Tick the boxes under 'Extensions' and 'Roles'. If needed, fill out 'Substitution Parameters' and 'Custom Parameters'. Then click Register:
When a new tool is registered, copy and insert the Client ID and the URLs into WISEflow:
The URLs required in this step are institution specific but will often have the following format:

The next step is to configure the Deployment ID in D2L Brightspace.
To configure a new Deployment, navigate to 'Settings', then click 'External Learning Tools'. Make sure that you are in the 'LTI Advantage' tab, then click 'New Deployment'
Choose the tool from the dropdown menu, and give the deployment a name
Tick the boxes under 'Extensions' and tick the needed boxes under 'Security Settings'. Tick 'Open as External Resource' under 'Configuration Settings'.
Select 'Add Org Units' and select the needed units to make the tool available as an external learning tool:
Click 'Create Deployment' and insert the Deployment ID into WISEflow. Click 'Done' and a new deployment has been configured.
In WISEflow, click 'Validate and save'
In D2L Brightspace, go to a course and click 'Assignments' then 'New Assignment', or open an already existing assignment.
Give the assignment a title, and click the quick link button to add an external link:
In the pop-up, choose 'External Learning Tools' and select the LTI Link, then choose a flow. Click 'Save and Close'.
