Having been guided through the procurement process by your sales representative, work on transitioning to WISEflow implementation begins following the initial signing of the contract. Whilst you will no doubt be eager to move forward with the implementation project there are some key preparatory activities which first need to take place. Here at UNIwise, we will support you to work through each of these activities and facilitate a seamless transition from the sales through to the implementation phases of your WISEflow project.
During this transition period, we will build your WISEflow licence to your exact specification. There are several options and settings which can be configured depending on how you intend to use the system and different modules and functionality can be enabled or disabled according to your institution's specific needs. Shortly after the contract has been signed we will provide you with a licence configuration document to enable you to design your WISEflow licence and, upon receipt, the team will build and activate your licence and grant your licence administrators access to the system. There is more information about the specifics of licence configuration available here.
The other important aspect to consider prior to project kick-off is inviting the appropriate faculties, departments or individual programmes to participate in the pilot project. We have a separate article available here outlining some recommendations and criteria for selection of participants which we think, in our experience, work well in creating a successful pilot project. You may, of course, already have a clear idea of how your licence should be configured and the scope of the initial pilot project, but the UNIwise team is always on hand to assist you with this where required, and we are available for optional pre-project meetings to explore and discuss the various options available to you.
The general process is summarised in the diagram below:
Once the licence document has been returned to us and the pilot project group is established, we are ready to move forward with the implementation project and arrange a kick-off meeting. This is an opportunity for the wider project teams at both UNIwise and the institution to meet, as well as to formalise the project scope and criteria and to agree on a plan and strategy for its successful execution. You can find more information about the project steps that follow in the article here.
