Utilising this browser functionality will allow you to search for text within a drafted response in FLOWlock or within an item in FLOWmulti. Both are described below.

It can also be used to search within permitted internet resources.

FLOWlock FLOWmulti

Search within a drafted response in FLOWlock

The search functionality enables you to look for words within your response that has been drafted using WISEflow's text editor on a FLOWlock.

The search functionality does not work for assignments that are opened alongside the text editor. It is only possible to search through an attached assignment via the assignment viewer, as described below.

Search within an assignment and through the comments

A search can be made through any attached assignment via the assignment viewer, when the assignment is opened in a new tab. Opening the assignment in a new tab will provide you with a full PDF reader which includes the ability to search for text.

You can either search for keywords in the assignment Search_assignment_icon.png or search through comments that you have already made Search_comments_icon.png.  When searching for keywords, you can decide whether the search should be case sensitive or applied to a whole word. You can adjust the size of the search results by dragging the border to the left or right. If the results should be hidden from view, simply click on Search_assignment_icon.png. Delete your input in the search field if you would like to remove the highlighted text. All the functionalities of the assignment viewer are explained in this article.

The icon for the assignment viewer is located in the top right-hand side of the screen as shown in the image below. It is different from the one provided by the lockdown browser as described above.

Please refer to the troubleshooting guide if you experience any problems with the lockdown browser.

Copy & Paste in the Lockdown Browser

When you are testing the demo version of the WISEflow lockdown browser, it is possible for you to copy your notes from the clipboard (by using CTRL+C or CMD+C), open FLOWlock and get access to your notes again by copying them into the browser.

Important: This is only possible in the demo of the lockdown browser. It is not possible to copy from the clipboard outside the browser into a real FLOWlock exam. This is because the system clipboard is cleared when entering the lockdown browser.

During the exam in the lockdown browser, it is still possible to copy and paste, but anything copied before the exam is unavailable.
