Exporting and Importing Assignments and Items

It is possible to export and import large amounts of items and assignments into the authoring environment. It is possible to import up to 500 items at once. While the import is running in the background, you will be able to continue working in WISEflow. A status page will keep you informed about the progress of the import. This article will demonstrate how the export and import of items and assignments works in the author tool.

In order to import or export assignments, you need to go to Assignments from the overview page and then click on Manage assignments.

Exporting Assignments or Items

Exporting assignments or items will create a JSON file which can then be added back into WISEflow. This explanation will exemplify how exports work with assignments but the steps are the same for items in the Content Bank.

Inside Manage assignments, you are able to select one or multiple assignments by ticking the boxes on the right hand side. If you want to select all assignments shown in the overview, tick the box at the top.

It is only possible to export 20 assignments / items at once.

Multiple assignments will be exported into one JSON file.

After you have selected the files you want to export and click on the Export button. You will then be asked to confirm the export.
